Here are my top tips to keep your carpet looking clean and healthy, long after your carpet cleaner has left.
- Invest in a good quality entrance mat. A high percentage of soiling will be removed simply by wiping your feet. (but vacuum this mat on a regular basis to keep it functioning)
- Ask people to remove their shoes when possible.
- Vacuum on a regular basis, daily if you have young children or pets.
- Act upon spills and accidents immediately. The longer it soaks in, the harder it will be to remove...DON`T RUB a stain, it will only spread and look even more unsightly.
- Treat the stain with a purpose bought carpet stain remover. Make sure it does not contain bleaching agents. For your best bet you should ask your carpet cleaners advice on which is the best to use.
- Have booties/over shoes available for workmen or contractors who are working in your home (if they don`t supply their own)
- Have your carpets cleaned on a regular basis by a professional company. Depending on how busy your home is, pets and children etc. this can be anything from 6 - 24 months.
- Look after your carpet and in return it will look after you!!
Take Care and don`t forget, any questions we are only a phone call away!
